That is exporting uncompressed video to QuickTime did NOT freeze PPro. Now the finding I've made this morning is that I can export VIDEO ok, but NOT audio. Here is some notes I took during last freeze.

PPro freezing when I try perform common tasks such as copy/paste and export. (Work-aroundable by me re-rendering them until there is a fix.) I think it has been me working on the sequence and making it more complex that somehow has made the project unstable. While the Audio Preview issue seems to have started with 2017.0.1, this inability to export and copy/paste I think did NOT coincide with my 2017.0.1. Duplicating the sequence I'm working on right now. Exporting a sequence (rendering it out). (I worked-around by copy/pasting them one at a time.) Copy/pasting multiple clips between sequences. I have also been spending 8 hours (sometimes) when I try troubleshoot my current predicament, as I'm not clear if not having the audio previews rendered also is causing a crash no matter how cautiously I click (always waiting for PPro to process my last click before I perform next one).Ĭurrently I've found I can cause PPro to freeze by trying the following. so I spend about 8 hours re-rendering those Audio Preview files before I try edit. Currently PPro is forgetting my Audio Preview files are rendered after any freeze/kill/reopen or close/reopen. PPro is not very responsive until Audio Previews are rendered. I can freeze PPro by clicking around anywhere if Audio Previews are not rendered.

It will also inform me of "not responding" using task manager to view the Adobe Premiere Pro.exe process.

Not responding is what appears to right of " Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017 - T:\TR2012\TR2012 660.prproj * " in windows status bar. I export to QuickTime and manually select Uncompressed 8-Bit video. (Over course of days.) Visuals are now more reliable. Tech support suggested I turn it on, so I did, saw black, turned it back off. Have disabled GPU/CUDA as found I'd not see visuals sometimes (black).

just rebooted from an update yesterday with no difference I can detect (problems persist).
